Probate/Estate Administration Paralegal

Braun Siler Kruzel is seeking a highly skilled paralegal in Probate, Estate Administration and Trust Administration for our growing AV-rated law firm in North Scottsdale. Candidates must have a four-year bachelor’s degree and ideal candidates will have a paralegal certification and experience in probate, estate and trust administration, tax, and financial planning. We are seeking a professional, self-motivated and self-supervising person for this position. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent client service skills, and the ability to communicate with courts, attorneys, financial professionals, and taxing authorities. Attention to details and deadlines is vital.

Probate/Estate Administration Paralegal Job Duties and Requirements

Some of the probate and estate administration duties and responsibilities include:

  • Communicate with clients, banks, brokerage firms, and appraisers to obtain information concerning decedent’s assets
  • Primary face-to-face responsibility for interacting with trustees, personal representatives and estate/trust beneficiaries and implementing plans of distributions after death
  • Prepare gift and estate tax returns and file with appropriate taxing authorities
  • Administer probate-related matters, including the preparation of pleadings for formal probates, informal probates, guardianships, and conservatorships
  • Work with attorneys to prepare accountings and plans of division and handle the funding of trusts
  • Administer trust-related matters, including the preparation of reformations, settlement agreements, etc., both judicial and non-judicial


  • Four-year college degree is an absolute requirement
  • Paralegal certification preferred
  • 65 wpm
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Technical writing, drafting, and organizational skills are a plus
  • Experience with Timeslips by Sage, Time Matters, and tax systems software applications such as Lacerte a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • A self-motivated team player
  • Two or more years of estate/trust administration experience preferred
