Back Office Assistant

Job duties and responsibilities include:

  • Assist attorneys and staff with various tasks including drafting/finalizing correspondence and documents, witnessing and notarizing documents, copying, scanning, and recording documents as requested
  • Back office support for all clients
  • Assist the Office Manager with special projects such as production of client letters
  • Primary backup to receptionist (greet clients and guests, schedule and confirm client meetings, answer and screen calls, assist with new client files, prepare mail, etc.)
  • Responsible for conducting and maintaining inventory of the firm’s supplies
  • Primary responsibility for the firm’s file management
  • Open, scan and distribute incoming mail
  • Participate in firm-sponsored legal seminars

Job Requirements:

  • College degree
  • 2 years job experience (legal experience a plus)
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Self-starter
  • People-oriented individual with excellent judgment
  • Be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
  • Occasional overtime required
